Victoria Pendleton Joins 2024 Summit Lineup

Sporting Chance is delighted to announce that world-renowned British cyclist and jockey, Victoria Pendleton has joined the speaker lineup for the 2024 Summit in October.

Regarded as one of the greatest female cyclists of all time, Victoria secured two gold medals and one silver across the Beijing and London Olympic Games, along with nine World Championship titles, notably a record six in the sprint, throughout her career.

Bringing the nation together with her success on the track, Victoria was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2009 New Year Honours and Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2013 New Year Honours for services to cycling.

Continuing to break boundaries in sport, Victoria made the courageous decision in 2015 to embark on a new challenge, training as a jockey, and managed remarkable success within a short period of time. She achieved her ambition of participating in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham in 2016, finishing in 5th place despite pundit's expectations, which Victoria describes as "probably the greatest achievement of her life".

Victoria joins the Summit line-up as a member of our athlete panel, alongside ex Olympic Gymnast Nile Wilson.

Since retirement, Victoria and Nile have been vocal about their mental health as Olympians. Their stories shed light on the often-overlooked aspects of an athlete's journey, providing a deeper understanding of the unprecedented mental challenges faced by those at the pinnacle of their sport.

If you'd like to join us the day to hear Victoria and Nile interviewed by Sky Sports presenter Rob Wotton on our athlete panel, you can secure your tickets for the 10th of October by clicking below.

Stay tuned for more speaker announcements in the coming weeks, and we look forward to welcoming you all to Edgbaston!
